Councillor David Chernushenko is trying a different way to get to City Hall in honour of Canadian Environment Week and Stand Up for CHEO. On Thursday, he'll commute 6 km by Stand Up Paddleboard (SUP), starting at 10 a.m. at the Dow’s Lake Pavilion and arriving — dry, he hopes! — at the docks at the Government Conference Centre between 11 and 11:30 a.m.

He will be joined by Duncan Keith, co-founder of Stand Up for CHEO (SUFC), and Jason Yarrington, owner of Trailhead Paddle Shack. They will paddle the same path on the Rideau Canal as the participants in the SUPF fundraiser taking place on Sunday, June 28.
