Lane reduction near the Bank Street Bridge during off-peak times

City of Ottawa

Bank Street will be reduced to one lane in the southbound direction during non-peak periods between the Bank Street Bridge and Holmwood Avenue beginning Monday, April 15.

Flag persons will be used in both directions on weekdays only on Bank Street to allow trucks to safely turn left from a secondary gate near the bottom of the Bank Street Bridge. The northbound traffic will be stopped at the top of the Bank St Bridge to allow for this movement. During morning and evening rush hours the south bound lanes will be opened, but the lane reduction northbound will remain in place. The non-peak hour lane reduction will be in place until mid-summer.

Pedestrians should continue to use the sidewalk on the west side of Bank Street. The closure does not affect on-street parking and businesses continue to be open as usual.
